New Mexico's CINIK brings us 'Light', a concept mini album that uses different experiences of light to enter an other-worldly sonic domain that can seem unsettling, mesmeric and frighteningly intense.

'Light is a 4 track mini album that offers the listener a sonic exploration of visual stimuli. Each track represents a mood brought about by certain light environments. Fluorescence is a short piece of guitar feedback that mimics the pulsating hum of artificial lighting. Some days will be dark is a distorted and processed harmonica piece that mirrors the extended darkness of northern days without light. The last two tracks create an experience similar to watching the sun rise through the use of bowed electric bass. Drone may bore some or fill others with dread, but the sounds are something of joy and acceptance for those willing to immerse themselves in the sounds of light.' -CINIK
