about

“The Inhuman” comp is finally here featuring many artists I have been fortunate enough to meet and forge links and friendships with over the last 3 years. The original criteria for the comp was music that reflected “extreme emotional states”. Well that’s what I got with tracks ranging from black metal, improv and drone to singer-song writer, electronic pop, folk and noise with plenty of tracks connecting the dots inbetween. This album features a wealth of talent from T House (Sweet Williams), The Eloquus of Xexie (Taman Shud), Memorials of Distinction alumni Porridge Radio, SUEP, Alison’s Gate and Satanic Ritual Abuse, Oxford’s ritualistic drone maestro Lee Riley, Bristol’s crush-fi legend Robert Ridley-Shackleton and many more including such Brighton acts as folk troubadour Captain Lovelace, epic song from Redraw Monks In It, Ingrid Plum’s new spontaneous free music trio, Dynamic Downer’s epic guitar explorations, Elm How’s deep melancholic pop. The compilation also features artists hand in hand with Eyeless Records cosmic folk artist Peace For Old Ghosts, electronic veteran duo Truck Pitch, Malin Headwreck (feat. Bela Emerson), Cultural Apparati and Eyeless head David K Frampton. We also have two exclusive tracks from London sonic artist Lisa Busby (Remixed by La Leif) and the mind blowingly gifted Nick Hudson. All in all this a rich and varied album exploring the corners of human nature, at the very edges, where we operate at an almost instinctive level…whether loss, longing, prayer, grief, pain, anxiety or those dark spaces we often inhabit.
