This is Simon Shippey aka Peace For Old Ghosts (and Custom Blue) at his most intimate and spontaneous recorded as part of Eyeless' ongoing album in a day challenge. This is a lovely precursor to his world beating debut album 'Dawn Chorus' due this Autumn. Whereas his debut features rich arrangements and detailed and lush production, Labor Day ep is a more stripped down affair where we are drawn through the beauty of his playing style into a world of dreams, surreal visions, loss and inner power. The music is almost heartbreakingly raw and furthers proves that anyone looking out for Peace For Old Ghosts debut album should be getting very very excited indeed.
